Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has been recognized as the Top 1 customs revenue contributor to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) - Port of Batangas (POB) for the first six months of 2025, remitting PHP 24.09 billion in duties and taxes. This represents a significant 29% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The announcement was made during the BOC-POB's 68th Founding Anniversary Celebration and Thanksgiving for Partners held on August 20, 2025, in Batangas City. According to the BOC-POB, TMP's contribution accounts for a substantial 35.7% of the ‘Top 10 Importers’ list during the first half of the year, significantly bolstering the port district's overall performance.
District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan reported that the BOC-POB's year-to-date collection as of August 19, 2025, reached PHP 145.05 billion, an 11.6% increase over the same period in 2024. Motor vehicles and fuel products continue to be the primary revenue-generating commodities, solidifying the Port of Batangas' role as a crucial trade gateway for the automotive and energy sectors.
As a trusted trade partner, TMP is one of the few companies that holds an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Level 2 accreditation from the BOC. This status provides benefits such as expedited customs clearance and dedicated processing lanes, further streamlining TMP’s logistical operations.
In response to the momentum of Philippine motorization which indicates economic growth and opportunities, TMP has its Batangas Vehicle Center (BVC) strategically located six (6) kilometers away from the Port of Batangas to enhance the efficiency of processing and delivery of Toyota and Lexus products to customers, as well as production parts and service components.
